In honor of  September 11th, 2001, the city has kicked-off a citywide initiative to raise money for the 9/11 memorial and museum. The event will be in NYC on September 10th. Stores will open late, give out free stuff or discounts, celebrities will make special appearances, there will be food and music too. The best part is that they will be selling a super cute Fashion’s Night Out t-shirt. It will be selling for $3o for the short sleeve or $35 for the long sleeve and %40 of the proceeds will go to the memorial and museum. 

We have to remember all the great firemen and cops who gave their lives for this country as well as the innocent Americanswho lost their lives on that tragic day. This is an important cause and I hope you participate.

            This ones for all you “Twilight” fans out there. On July 23, the New Moon cast was interviewed at Comic Con in San Diego about their upcoming filmed scheduled to open this November. They were asked some great questions and they gave some great answers. They also revealed two New Moon sneak peek clips. I can’t wait for this movie!

P.S. If you watch the comic con panel you’ll see Rob Pattinson keep looking down and back up again really quickly. He looks like he’s texting under the table.

    As promised I’ve prepared some interior design tips that are easy and affordable.

1. Clean out your room- get rid of the junk and clutter from your closets, drawers, bookshelves, desks or anywhere you might have it-everything must go.  Toss it, sell it or give it away but don’t leave it, because it just makes the room look sloppy if you have every seen rooms featured in magazines there is no sloppy-ness, junk or clutter whatsoever.

2. Decisions- you have to decide if you just want a little makeover or an extreme one.

3. For an extreme makeover look at magazines and catalogues decide on the colors and the style you want then get rid of all your old stuff and buy all the new stuff you want. Make sure it’s good quality and that you won’t grow out of the style within the next couple of years because it’s not cheap to re-do a room.

4. Artwork- I believe that any kind of artwork can change the atmosphere and style of a room. If you want you can purchase posters online or in stores, at posters.com or at IKEA. Antique stores many times carry old posters ( if your going for a vintage look it’s a great place to find cool stuff, If you are artistic do it your self; draw, make collages or  paint.

5. Lastly, make sure everything is cohesive- it looks so much better that way.

Studs are my new vice! Everything I buy has to have studs on it (well not exactly everything but I love them). They give everything a high fashion look. If you mix the punk studs with something preppy the combination creates a very clean, chic look as opposed to a them on their own,  giving it a more punk rock look  (which by the way is also great).

I’ve actually been thinking about buying some studs from Michael’s (a craft supply store) and updating an old sweater and possibly an old pair of converse. I love how you can just add a little spice to something and it looks like a whole new piece.

Yesterday I finished A Walk To Remember by Nicolas Sparks. The story is about Landon Carter, the bad boy, and Jamie Sullivan, the good Christan girl and how they  unexpectedly  fall in love. The book tells a great love story with an unexpected twist that challenges their love.  After reading the book I feel grateful for what I have and I can only pray that I’ll find the kind of love that they have. Read it, then see the movie! The book is short and unbelievably sweet. The movie was also fantastic, Mandy Moore and Shane West star in it and they did an incredible job in it. You can watch it on You Tube if you would like.

For all you Jonas Brother fans out there, I just read that the oldest Jo Bro, Kevin,21, has asked Danielle Deleasa  to marry him. A date has been set and Kevin is very excited. Here’s what Mom, Denise and Dad, Kevin Sr.  had to say:
